Painting Vans Pink in the Fight Against Breast Cancer Published on September 27, 2016 This October, two of our Service Experts centers will be making a statement with pink vans. Fras-Air/General Service Experts and Service Experts Heating and Air Conditioning of Raleigh are both going to paint two of their company vans pink for the fight against breast cancer. During the month of October, Fras-Air/General Service Experts will be giving 20% of all sales from their pink vans to Summit-based Susan G. Komen chapter to help raise money to help fight breast cancer. Service Experts of Raleigh will be contributing 5% of all sales from their pink vans and also donate $10 for every furnace tune-up to their local chapter, Susan G. Komen North Carolina Triangle to the Coast. This is the second October Fras-Air/General Service Experts has painted two of their vans pink to raise money for breast cancer. In 2015, Fras-Air was able to raise over $7,000 for Komen North Jersey. David Schneider, the general manager and one of his workers both lost their mothers to alternative forms of cancer and were moved to help other families. “The National Cancer Institute reported that 107,184 women in New Jersey suffered from breast cancer in 2016,” Schneider explained. “While the number of cases is actually decreasing each year, that still represents a significant number of families who are grappling with this disease, and there is still a serious need for research and support.” The General Manager of Service Experts of Raleigh, Chris Overton, reiterated Schneider’s sentiments. “As stated by the North Carolina State Center for Health Statistics, breast cancer is the leading type of cancer in the state – for women and men.” To read more about Susan G.
